Swee Heng had been practicing leadership and management for 31 years in 3 large organisations, working in the management, operations and human capital functions. He was, from Year 2000 to 2010, the Asia Pacific Human Resource Director and a member of the Regional Management Board for Reed Business, a division of RELX plc. He led the Deloitte Singapore’s Human Resource function from 1997-2000. Swee Heng had also held key strategic and operational positions in the Singapore Armed Forces from 1979 to 1997.
